2nd - Open Projected Image Competition 2: Judge Alan Sarsby
(Maximum submission: 3 images, 1400(w)x1050(h)px maximum sRGB 100% JPGs, to be given on a memory stick or CD-ROM the previous society meeting or via the society email by the previous weekend) 9th - Members' Night/Workshop: General advice on camera controls for different shooting situations followed by a presentation/demonstration by the younger members of the society. 16th - Members' Night/Workshop: Peter Hrebien and David Giffin will talk about their work and what inspires them. This will be a good opportunity to grill them and pickup some good tips. 23rd - Members' Night/Workshop: Confirmation of the rules for the forthcoming AV competition including a review of software that can be used to generate AV presentations. Members are invited to bring in laptops etc... if they would like some assistance. Also confirmation of the rules for the Natural History competition e.g. what is and what is not considered eligible. 12th - A45 Inter-club Challenge: Judge Eric Saul, ARPS, EFIAP, DPAGB, APAGB
An inter club competition featuring clubs along the route of the old A45. This evening will be held at County Upper School. Doors will open at 7:00pm hoping to start promptly at 7:30pm.

Last chance for people to return all trophies awarded last season so that we can get ready for the AGM/Prize Giving dinner. Please check the board to see if any of your prints were eligible for the Print of the Year competition the following week.
10th - Print & Slide of the Year Competition: Judge Ron Pain, LRPS, CPAGB
Judging of all the prints and slides which have been placed first, second or third place or gained 9.5 points and above. Reminder notifications for eligible prints will be sent out by email.
Please check the board to see if any of your prints were eligible for the Ron Newton trophy voting the following week. 11th - Prize Giving Dinner (venue to be announced)
17th - AGM and judging of the Ron Newton Trophy
A chance to put forward your views and review the constitution.
In the second half after the AGM members will be able to cast their votes for the winner of the Ron Newton Trophy. Reminder notifications for eligible prints that scored a first place in any section will be sent out by email. |
